WHO Global Report on the Commercial Determinants of Health
Preview site. This is an internal preview of interactive data visualisations accompanying the WHO Global Report on the Commercial Determinants of Health (GRCDoH). Content, figures, and methodology are provisional and subject to change.
What's in here
The report quantifies the burden of disease, injury, and premature death attributable to the products, practices, and structural conditions shaped by commercial actors. This site lets readers explore those estimates interactively — decomposing totals by sector, risk factor, location, age group, sex, and their combinations — using Global Burden of Disease estimates as the quantitative backbone.
Pathway decomposition
Select a pathway of commercial impact and decompose the attributable burden by sector, risk factor, and stratification.
Methodology
How burden estimates are derived, aggregated, and attributed — inputs, assumptions, and known limitations.
Planned additions
- Commercial risk factor prevalence and exposure
- Metabolic and intermediary risk factors
- Injury and disease prevalence
- Treaties, frameworks, laws, policies, and interventions — with implementation levels
- Structural factors
Data & sources
Visualisations draw on the GBD study and on commercial-exposure datasets curated in separate pipelines. This site imports only visualisation-ready, aggregated artefacts; raw data is not stored here.
